Sara identifies as many things, a small number of which are: Brown, Egyptian-American, Immigrant, Neuroqueer, Left-handed, Pisces with an Aries rising. She is a highly sensitive person and unapologetically feels the world.

Sara looks to Paolo Freire, Audre Lorde, Bell Hooks, Angela Garbes, Mia Birdsong, Jenny Odell, midwives, birth, death, trees, the seasons, Spiraleena, the earth, and ancestors as as some of her greatest teachers.

She is has an infinite sense of possibility and is insatiably curious and uncompromising in her vision for a better world.

When she’s not working or learning, reading or writing, Sara is a multidisciplinary artist, and believes creation is one of our most profound tools for resistance, transformation, and co-liberation. She creates and organizes art-making in community as an act of resistance, joy, and activism.

Sara lives in the unceded Ohlone land known as San Francisco with my partner, two kids, and their dog. She finds delight in nature, singing, dancing, eating fresh food, cozying up to a good book, making art, frolicking at the beach, feeling the sun kiss her cheeks, and gathering in good company.
